For those who don’t know the story of Moe, he was a foster dog my sister took in after he was rescued from a puppy mill. Other dogs she’s fostered have had health issues, but none as bad as Moe. His leg just flopped around, owing to the fact that it was broken when he was very young and never treated. The vet said it was the worst X-Ray he had seen in 30 years. So, Moe needed surgery.
Thanks to the efforts of very generous friends and strangers, a great deal of money was raised for Moe’s surgery. My sister paid off the rest of the vet bill bit by bit. And as Moe started to heal from his surgery and adjust to life on three legs, his forever home was found.
After everything he’s been through, Moe is still friendly, happy and full of energy. He deserves nothing less than the perfect home, and that’s what he found. His new owner drove all the way from Vermont to pick him up in Ottawa. The couple who adopted him live in the country, with five acres of land - part of it fenced - for Moe to run around in. Because he tires easily at the dog park, the yard means once he’s done running he can just plop down and have a nap. The husband of the couple works at home during the winter - more time for Moe! - and volunteers at an animal shelter three days a week. They’ve had dogs before, and are going to get a playmate for Moe once he’s settled in.
I’m so happy that Moe is getting a chance at a great life. Go Moe!

I would like to thank the St. Lawrence Market for providing these amazing canisters that perectly match my new kitchen bench, and at $15 less than the asking price.

So good!
I’m stoked about this one, I made a chevron patterned retro bar out of a vintage piece of furniture. Check it out and learn how to make your own.

Saw this exhibit in Ottawa at the National Gallery - so wonderful.
Eerily pretty.

It broke my heart to walk away from this today. Value Village on Rogers Road if anyone is interested.

Picked up a basket sitting on the seat of this, only to discover a giant rip. Found another identical one, also ripped. Dammit.

I really want one of these lamps. Unfortunately, they’re out of my price range.
I found them via the fantastically lovely Eat Drink Chic, which you should check out if you like gorgeous things.
